Visa Requirements

Most of our teachers are on a husband/wife sponsorship. If you have a university degree in the language you wish to teach, then Berlitz apply for your work visa and assist with the other legal formalities.

Hiring Procedure

After we have received your application, we will contact you regarding an interview. If you have taught at other Berlitz Centers, then a recommendation from the center director will be fine. After successful completion of the interview process, you will be invited to attend the Berlitz Instructor Training and to observe classes in different languages. After the training, you will need to familiarize yourself with the material before you can start teaching.

Teaching Contracts

All our teachers are part-timers. Our centers are open from 7:30 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. Applicants should be university graduates. Prior teaching experience is not required for languages other than English. For English, we prefer teachers with ESL degrees and/or experience.

Getting Started

You can rent a one bedroom apartment at around Dhs. 25,000/year (in Abu Dhabi or Dubai). In Sharjah the rent is Dhs. 18,000/year. Rent is paid in three installments. To live comfortably but not luxuriously, you will need Dhs. 2,000/month.
